Shania Twain is not impressed by the current state of country music. the Real countryJudge said she was "fed up" with the sexism and ageism prevalent in the industry.
Twain sits with E! New to discuss his new singing contest show in the US when Carissa Culiner of E! started with a conversation to "talk about women in country music today".
"What is women ?!", joked the singer "It does not impress me much", before noticing that she "was bored" of country music at the moment.
"We have too much similarity right now. I get tired a little and I want to pick it up. The only way to do that is to be proactive, "she explained. "I wanted a show that, when you talk about diversity, includes diversity of genres, diversity of styles, diversity of lifestyles."

Twain also spoke of the lack of women on the radio.
"We are not making progress on the radio, but we are taking very modest and regular steps to make us aware of the lack of women on national radio," she added.
That's why the "Man! "I feel like a woman" wanted to do a show like Real country, So that she can help find new talent. Twain said that she wanted to advocate for "young" artists before modifying her statement.
"It does not matter how old you are," she said. "I'm fed up with everything that is ageist as well as sexist. This [show] is wide open, appeal to your talent if you are good enough, I do not care what you are, as long as you are a human being. "
"When I first came to country music, the limits were way too close for me and it was difficult for me," she added. "There are many artists who are intimidated by what they believe to be country music … I want to show them that there are no limits."
Despite his grievances regarding the current industry situation, Twain congratulated country music fans. "Who am I as an artist, songwriter, as an interpreter, is completely irrelevant," she said. "But the fans are not close minded.
