San Luis Obispo County public health officials are reporting 112 new cases of COVID-19 over two days, bringing the county’s total to 19,612 confirmed cases as of February 25.
Eighty-two new cases were added on Wednesday and 30 new cases were added on Thursday.
Daily figures were not released on Wednesday due to a delay in state data.
Six additional deaths linked to COVID-19 have also been reported. To date, SLO County has recorded 227 deaths attributed to the virus.
Health officials say 24 people are currently hospitalized. Another 551 are recovering at home and health officials say 18,796 people have recovered.
Seventeen of the county’s 38 licensed and staffed intensive care beds are currently occupied. Five of them are taken by COVID-19 patients.

- Avila Beach – 27
- San Simeon – 21
- Bradley – 7
The locations of an additional 48 cases are under investigation and eight more are listed as ‘other’, which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Department of Public Health does not identify these locations.
Community COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach and Nipomo.
