Tesla produced a weekly production of 5,000 model 3 cars, according to Wall Street Journals sources that refer to an internal message.
The company, using a third production line installed outside the Fremont factory, believed that run the farm early Sunday morning. Earlier, CEO Elon Musk promised a production of 5,000 cars in the last week of June.
The milestone is important for Tesla, who has already advanced two forecasts twice. According to the company, a production of 5,000 model 3 cars is needed in order to maintain business and profitability. At the same time, it could also calm market concerns for a potential new problem in the near future.
But at the same time, it remains to be seen whether Tesla will continue to manage production levels after drastic measures in June. Panasonic battery provider said last week that the dramatic increase in production has resulted in temporary shortfalls in battery supply.
In the internal message, Elon Musk said that Tesla's total output, including Model S and X, had also reached 7,000 during the week. This is a record level for Tesla.
He now expresses great pride on Twitter.
