People over the age of 65 with chronic disease and heart disease are at risk groups who are more likely to become seriously ill if they are affected by the flu. The Östergötland region offers anyone who belongs to any vaccine free from risk group.

The flu itself is rarely serious. On the other hand, different complications can be. It is mainly those who belong to a risk group who are at risk of becoming seriously ill.

The symptoms may be similar to those of other diseases, such as high fever, cough and colds.

In most cases, the problem disappears on its own. However, if you have a high fever that does not drop after four days and a high fever that starts to increase again, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

This year, the Östergötland region has made considerable efforts for people belonging to at-risk groups.
