Beekeepers: the risk of mortality increases with the new rules

Sveriges Biodlares Riksförbund is skeptical about the decision of the Swedish Agriculture Agency regarding new rules for the removal of biomass. The federation believes that protection against bisexual diseases can be destroyed.

Today, in principle, all bishops must be inspected and an authorization must be issued before the move. In this way, infected communities can be found and a move is prevented.

With the new rules, this routine is removed and in many municipalities it may be free to move communities as they see fit in Sweden.

"The protection against the spread of the disease is worsening, the selection of better bees will be complicated and the risk of increased mortality in the biomes will increase," said Monica Selling, president of Sveriges Biodlares Riksförbund in a press release.
