For the time being, he probably would not "receive" money from Saudi Arabia to buy Tesla on the stock market, he told Recode Decode, Recode Decode.
"It sounds bad enough, it's not good, it's bad, it's really bad," he said in the podcast.
At the same time, he was careful not to shoot the entire country over a comb.
"We have to think that it's an entire country … and there are a lot of very good people in Saudi Arabia," Teslagrundaren said.
Saudi Arabia already owns $ 2 billion of Tesla shares.
