All the third escalators of Stockholm's commuter train station are in such a bad state that they have to be repaired. Nobody knows how long the station will remain closed, but an external review will determine who is responsible.
Out of 50 escalators at the 17-station tram station in Stockholm, 17 are broken. He now announces SL in a press release. All except one of the escalators that must be repaired for safety reasons go down to the platform
This means that the platform can not be installed if necessary, which means that the station remains closed.
The report is not ready yet
The Escalator escalator – Otis – still has not submitted his report on what needs to be solved and how long is expected
"Without such a plan, it is not possible to predict when the station will be open," writes SL in the press release
Responsibility is considered
Parallel to the work, an independent revision of the agreement is also introduced. He will discover how this could happen, and whether the responsibility lies with the Otis escalator, the Trafikverket construction company or the traffic management responsible for the day-to-day operations of the station
