When Niklas Bengtsson of Lundby Landscape Care recently passed what he thinks is the most beautiful pasture in the county, he was greeted by a not-so-beautiful show. The otherwise green and swollen grass was yellow and burned by the sun. It was then that he decided to take social media and invite landowners to belong to neighboring farmers and to offer pastures to people in need.

– I had heard about the shortage of food on the radio and talked to the peasants before. It was at that moment that I saw the yellow grass that she clicked with me. Niklas Bengtsson

The application has become viral and has so far been shared by 12,000 other users. According to Niklas Bengtsson, the message on Facebook has reached more than 900,000 people in the past two weeks and now the call has become a group.

– It attracts about 100 new members every day from across the country. I see that many of those who live in Gotland live now, so they must have problems now, says Niklas Bengtsson.

Most members of the group are landowners who offer their land to farmers whose bites are completed. It is difficult for Niklas Bengtsson to know exactly how many farmers have contacted each other. But he claims that at least the hundreds should have been in touch. The group members think it's a good initiative and commemorate the initiator as a daily hero.

– I see that it is effective. It's fun that people can help each other, Niklas Bengtsson.
