The agreement and toy purchases made by Upplev Norrköping as part of the Avengers exhibition are being revised.

Following the discovery of the Avengers show in 2017, an agreement was reached and a proposal was submitted to the Board on June 15 of the same year. The cost of the exhibition has been estimated at about 13.5 million Swedish kronor and the revenue has been calculated on the basis of 100,000 visitors approximately 17 million Swedish kronor.

This agreement meant that the company committed to purchase goods for US $ 100,000, currently about SEK 900,000. But in the fall of last year, it was considered that the included toys were not of good quality. Subsequently, additional purchases were made, which was not reported to Council.

In addition, the risks and issues discussed at the June 15, 2017 meeting of the Board of Directors have not been recorded.

"It's a purely formal mistake that has occurred," says Göran Lindgren, interim CEO of Upplev Norrköping.

Is it the board that will make the decisions regarding these purchases?

– Yes that's it.

According to the toy supplier, toys in the amount of about 4 million Swedish kronor have been included in the agreement, which are not written, but must be spoken orally. Up to now, purchases amounting to SEK 1.4 million have been finalized.

If you have a four million contract but only negotiate 1.4; Do you have to buy the remaining 2.6 million?

"No, we talked about it, we do not need it," says Göran Lindgren.

Purchased toys are stakeholders, says Göran.

– We are in discussion, but it is not over yet. In the best of all worlds, we now know how it will be.

On Thursday, the Norrköping Experience Council will hold a Board of Directors during which Göran Lindgren will present his investigation into how the operation was carried out.
