Over 40 WTO Members Warn the United States Against Taxes on Cars

The United States has threatened to introduce more tariffs against their trading partners. Previously, the country had introduced a 25% duty on steel and aluminum from the EU, Canada and Mexico.

According to President Donald Trump the United States is currently studying the possibility of introducing tariffs on cars and automobiles and they may be ready within three to four weeks

Several other countries, including Norway, Turkey, Venezuela and Brazil, have expressed concern that US equities are not in compliance with WTO rules.

The EU threatened to introduce countermeasures worth $ 294 billion if the US introduced tariffs.
