Pecka's natural grocery products, traded at the NGM Nordic MTF, reduced sales by 36% in the third quarter compared to the previous quarter due to replanting greenhouses and increased competition in the summer.
"The third quarter of the year was exciting and productive with several positive steps taken, but there was also a transition period with slightly worse results, because we worked to plant about half of the greenhouse against a new production cycle for the next twelve months. At the same time, we increased the revenue-related costs as we temporarily strengthened the organization, "writes Elena Petukhovskaya, CEO of Pecka's Nature Farms.
Doubles capacity
During the third quarter, it was planted in half of the greenhouse and as a result, only 50% of the tomatoes were available for sale.
The construction of the company's new greenhouse began during the quarter. The new greenhouse will more than double the capacity of the existing cycling race.
Pecka's operating profit for natural crops was established at around -2 million SEK in the third quarter (-0.9 million in the second quarter of this year). The turnover amounted to 0.9 million SEK (1.3 million in the second quarter).
Seasonally, the quarter was largely in line with the company's expectations, according to the interim report.
