Västerbotten left 1.5 kilos a week for recycling

In total, 20,640 tons were returned for recycling to Västerbotten in 2017.

This shows new statistics of FTI, packaging and newspaper collection. Every day, packaging and newspapers are submitted to over 5,000 FTI recycling stations

In Västerbotten, residents continue to show a good willingness to sort and show a slight increase over 2016.

Statistics from Västerbotten show minor changes compared to the previous year. the number of packaging made of glass, paper, plastic, metal and newspapers subject to recycling. The population of Sweden is increasing but the importance of the material submitted by person does not increase to the same extent.

In 2017, 20,640 tons of packaging and newspapers were submitted for recycling in Västerbotten. This amount equals 81 football plans covered with a layer of material one meter tall, according to FTI.
