Volvo has a showroom in Kungsträdgården in Stockholm for many years. This week the exhibition hall has received a new name – Studio Stockholm – and a new design in part. The new Stockholm studio has been reinvigorated by Volvo CEO Håkan Samuelsson and Swedish director Kristian Elvefors in front of hundreds of guests.
New Studio Stockholm will be a meeting place, but Volvo will also sell cars as part of its Volvo Care City subscription service.

Half of sales 2025
Until now, Volvo has opened the service in Sweden, Germany and the United States.
"We had a pilot project in Sweden, but with Studio Stockholm, we are strengthening our business," said Kristian Elvefors.
By 2025, Volvo wants to sell half of its cars by subscription.
"We are finding that it is better for customers, it will be easier, the price will be the same everywhere and for all customers it will become transparent and distribution will be more efficient," said Volvo CEO Håkan Samuelsson.
"Sweden is a market where subscription service can grow quickly," says Kristian Elvefors.
Volvo has more exhibition halls and workshops around the world, but it is no longer relevant for a similar exhibition hall in Sweden.
Starting in January, Volvo will start selling its newest hybrid, the XC40 T5 Twin Engine, and only in the Volvo Care City subscription service. With the new Studio Stockholm, Volvo hopes to speed up its subscriptions.
At the inauguration, Volvo introduced its new model S60 T5 R – from the new US factory – as well as the new V60 Cross Country.
