Cassis: "Accompanying measures are not to take"

This has particularly alarmed unions, who fear a reduction in wage protection and have therefore announced resistance. However, support measures are generally well-founded, even among representatives of the business world.

The Federal Council discussed open points in the field of free movement of people, announced the state government. He confirmed the existing red lines, Cassis said before the media. Wage protection and guarantees for businesses, especially near borders, should remain. The internal political discussion on this subject should now be conducted forward. In summer, the federal government, under the auspices of the Department of Economic Affairs, seeks the views of the social partners and cantons to incorporate practical experience. At the end of August / beginning of September, the Federal Council will take note of the results of this dialogue and will decide on the follow-up.

In addition to accompanying measures, the Federal Council also noted some progress in the negotiations. In particular, Cassis mentioned dispute settlement, in which an arbitration solution emerged by consensus. The Federal Council has also taken note of the progress made in the area of ​​state aid. Finally, the Federal Council emphasized Switzerland's request for unlimited recognition of Swiss securities regulation.
