Seven Uzwiler employees of the social enterprise did not accept the wage cuts. Now they have been abandoned as threatened. In ten days, the foundation must show the community how the work continues.

The Maison des Affaires Foundation urgently needs to raise funds; due to embezzlement by a former accountant and manager, the social enterprise lost a six-figure amount, no doubt irremediably. Strict expenditure control was decided as immediate action and owners and suppliers asked for more favorable conditions. According to the chairman of the Foundation Board, Felix Bischofberger, a lawsuit against the responsible bodies is also under consideration.

The most sensitive measure is a pay cut for all 52 employees: they must immediately give up 10% of their salary, otherwise they must wait for the termination. The majority seems to have accepted it. The workforce at the Uzwil factory disapproves of this: seven employees have consistently refused to cut wages, which was announced in early July as being threatened with dismissal. The factory manager, Bruno Grunder, only wished to be wary of the information concerning the employees of yesterday. But the frustration in the "good team and the flourishing job" is obviously great; In addition to the alternative pay cut, Uzwiler employees are particularly struck by the lack of long-term internal structural changes. He is also criticized that he has come in the last weeks no offer to speak.

We had to pronounce the dismissals because all the works have the same right, explains Felix Bischofberger. For the same reason, a financial concession with the employees of Uzwiler is hardly possible, also in the sense of equality with other employees who support the measures of the Board of Trustees. Bischofberger points out that the discussions were "always guided" and "openly informed". It is difficult to say in the current "climbing phase" whether or not there will be an agreement with the Uzwil team.

The municipality of Uzwil, which works with Business House since 2012, is worried about this development. The regional factory currently employs 25 people from Uzwil. We 'put on the right horse', represented by a community slightly affected by unemployment in 2014; Instead of reducing other communities to Skos guidelines, they chose the most elaborate but the most successful route. Work integration is as good for those affected as it is for the community. In addition to Business House, Uzwil offers professional integration positions to the Tosam Foundation and Buecherwäldli. Currently, she does not, according to Executive Director Thomas Stricker. They have worked well with Business House until now and continue to wait for this institution. After a debate between the community and the foundation on Friday, Business House must present a sustainable solution for the Uzwil factory within ten days, ie until July 17th. How and with which employees, is questionable. Unofficially, it is said that today 's team could send its expertise and clients to another institution.
