On June 26, the bankruptcy is over Circus Royal Betriebs GmbH was opened. Two weeks earlier, a new company was listed in the Thurgau Commercial Register: The Circus Royal GmbH. It belongs to former circus director Oliver Skreinig. But he does not want to know about bankruptcy.

Everyone is a little helpless now. "The situation is a bit confusing," says Martin Wenk, head of the bankruptcy office in Thurgau. Even before the bankruptcy on the Circus Royal is imposed, there is already a new company of the same name in the commercial register. "We must now examine exactly which assets were transferred from the old to the new company," says Wenk. He could not say more for the moment. Clarifications are in progress

Skreinig and Gasser live in separation

Clarification is also in hand with Oliver Skreinig, director of Circus Royal. His lawyer was checking the case. Because he does not want to know about bankruptcy. He founded the new company after he and his longtime partner Peter Gasser separated in private. Gasser was sick and he could not negotiate with him about it: "He is currently psychologically unable to do that."

He had founded the new company because Peter Gasser in the current situation, it is not clear if he continues to circulate will do, says Skreinig.

That is why he claimed the name of "Circus Royal". With his ex-partner Gasser, he had agreed by shaking hands that he would return the name again, if it still had to be with his own tour company. He had a one year deadline for that.

The new company is debt free

"I am now traveling independently with my new company," says Oliver Skreinig. It was debt free. "We can have three or four open invoices, but they are still in the payment period, and he has not put any capital or valuables from the bankruptcy firm into his new company." The old company was an operating company that had no assets "

But the fact is that the previous Circus Royal Betriebs AG has not paid its bills and Skreinig says that He has no idea of the debtor who could have gone bankrupt and that he is paying Peter Gasser bankruptcy, however, he also listed as a shareholder who holds 50 percent of the share capital of CHF 20 000. If he does not stick to him Skreinig, he does not know his lawyer clarify the matter, all rather puzzling.the former circus director now continues alone with a limited liability company , writes the Swiss distribution agency SDA, and all the contracts went to him, the employees received their salary, the animals their food. The circus will then move to Zurich. "The performances take place on time," he said. pointed out Wednesday Skreinig in Affoltern am Albis ZH, where the circus es t presently invited.

Next year again with predators

Including mediums Mike Shiva and former cyclist Beat Breu, who leads the little bistro in the tent with his partner. For the future, Skreinig already has plans that will not be greeted with enthusiasm: In the coming year, he wants to come back with numbers of predators on tour.

In recent years, the circus has been in the news several times. Had criticized the tiger numbers. Since the beginning of the year 2018, he gave up the former main attraction and instead shows camels, horses and an alpaca.
