The 15 Best CES Devices You Can Buy Right Now (2021)

In many ways, CES 2021 was unlike anything we’ve seen before on the Gear team. Instead of running around Las Vegas pushing all the things and severely dehydrating ourselves, we sat at the house and watched the briefing after the Zoom briefing. But CES is still the festival of money spent. It’s designed to arouse your most primitive desires, whether it’s for an exquisite gaming chair, an affordable laptop, or just a machine for squirting individual portions of delicious fro-yo. These are our favorite items on display at CES that you can buy right now to scratch that itch.

Phones, headphones and accessories

• Snap-On Moft Support for $ 30: I want this. This snap-on mount holds your iPhone in portrait, landscape, or “floating” mode and has space to hold three cards. We’ve also included it in our guide to the best accessories for the iPhone 12.
• Moto G Play for $ 170: Motorola has refreshed its line of budget phones, which we really liked. The updates are quite minor, but the price is still low. For a more in-depth look, check out our guide to the best budget phones.
• Typewise (free): This useful little app is the first product from a company working on a 100% private “Next Word Prediction Engine”. The distinctive honeycomb keyboard claims to reduce typos by up to 80%.
• MaskFone for $ 50: If you wear a mask in public and take calls, you may need a (possibly over-designed) mask with an N95 filter, built-in microphone, and connected headphones. Or, you know, maybe not. Check out our guide to our favorite masks if you want a few more possibilities.
• V-Moda M-200 ANC for $ 500: We haven’t had a chance to try these expensive headphones in person, but V-Moda has never let us down before. We expect this new model from the forward thinking company to be one of the best noise canceling headphones of the year.
• JBL Reflect Mini NWC TWS Earphones for $ 150: JBL’s latest workout headphones have a reflective stripe for people who like to be outside at night or at dusk. They are also noise-canceling and have an IPX7 water resistance rating. We didn’t get a chance to try them either, but we liked other JBL Buds.
