It's been almost ten years since Don Nelson coached his last game in the NBA, but the former Warriors coach is apparently busy with his retirement. More specifically, he smoked potty, dude.

Nelson, 78, confirmed Thursday night at Golden State at a press conference alongside former Warrior stars Jason Richardson and Stephen Jackson.

"I smoked marijuana," Nelson said, questioned about his retirement life in Hawaii. "I've never smoked when I played or coached, so it's new to me.I do that and I'm having a good time. It's more legal now than that." I've never been, so I like that. "

There is so much to love in this clip in addition to the great quote, especially the reaction of Jackson, who triumphantly raised his hand to celebrate smoking. Hell yeah, man.

The credit is due, Nelson has certainly done a great job in ensuring that his look progresses along with his lifestyle. Here's what he looked like during his coaching days:

And here's what Don Nelson likes:

The beard … the long locks of silver … the jewels. Yes, that sounds pretty much like the face of a guy who spends his days lightening up on the beaches of Maui.

In a New York Times interview last year, Nelson revealed that he is even growing his own weed, which he calls "Nellie Kush".

"Oh, that's great, great stuff, she's called Nellie Kush," Nelson said. "These are O.G. and Hindu Kush.Hindu Kush is really good.It comes from India and the guy who brought it mixed, so we have Nellie Kush now."

Apparently, he's also been involved in high stakes poker games with Willie Nelson, Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson, and you could imagine "Nellie Kush" making an appearance or two at these events.

What legend
