Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the few games to benefit from the Mario Day discount, aka 10 March.

Nintendo

To celebrate Mario Day, Nintendo will benefit from discounts on the Switch and a handful of games focused on Mario, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey. If you do not know the holidays, you are not alone. Mario Day is March 10 aka MAR10 – the get it? It's a vacation much the same way "May 4" is the day of Star Wars.

From March 10th to 16th, some games featuring Mario will benefit from a 50% discount ($ 30 off) when they are purchased with a switch provided. The packages cost $ 330 and can be purchased on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target. Gamestop offers the same promotion but only on March 10th.

Here are the five Mario games at a reduced price:

Sales are available online, but as usual with "bundled" offers, it's a little complicated. Here are the 3 best ways to save, including options if you already have a switch.

Note that CNET may obtain a share of the revenue from the sale of the products presented on this page.

Switch: Package Switch + Mario Game for $ 330

For most participating retailers, simply add the applicable Switch console and one of the games above to your cart. When you're ready to check out, you'll see the discount applied to the game for the entire order to reach $ 330. It seems that some retailers want you to group the digital version (Amazon), while others ask you to assemble the physical cartridge (Best Buy).

Redeem with $ 35 Nintendo eShop Credit

Before the start of the sale of Mario Day, Nintendo was already selling a version of the Switch ($ 300) that included a $ 35 credit for the Nintendo eShop. Unfortunately, it seems that you can not "double" and associate this model with these games at a reduced price. But, if you prefer, choose a discounted game that is not listed among the 5 listed – say, Super Smash Bros. or Diablo 3 -, you may get this version of Switch and you will choose your own game later.

If you already have a switch, you can get the digital version of one of the same five games at $ 20 off, without buying a console.
