And the clip above shows why. Unlike some Democrats who shrink when they are attacked as elitists by Republicans, Ocasio-Cortez supports them directly – relying heavily on his personal history. It's a remarkable story of an incredibly fast rise in the higher echelons of Democratic National politics. And it's a story rooted not in sophisticated schools or in a pile of graduate degrees, but in the life of the very middle class of the AOC before being elected in Congress. This resonates with the Democrats because it is authentic.
As the video shows, there is the fact that AOC is not prepared to let the stereotypes of Republicans allow it to let itself be stereotyped.
