Officials said that two traffic warnings had been sent to the driver of a shuttle from an employee of Newark Airport, who had crashed against a concrete bulkhead on a Terminal B access ramp, making more than a dozen wounded on Friday morning.

The driver was cited for his reckless driving and his inability to keep his track for not having "exercised due caution when negotiating a lane change," said a spokeswoman. of the Port Authority. The bus traveled on the inclined concrete road divider before the vehicle stopped on the flat portion of the divider.

Nineteen airport employees were taken to the Trinitas Regional Medical Center or the University Hospital, said spokeswoman Cheryl Ann Albiez. None of the injuries were considered life threatening.

The port authority police cleared the scene at 9 am and the roads were reopened.
