In other cases, transgender people have turned to self-medication, seeking dangerous hormone treatments on the black market to try to change their bodies.
Another person interviewed in the report said that she had illegally obtained hormonal medications and that she had started self-treating at dangerously high doses when she did not have the medication. had not been treated properly.
