MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating two separate shootings in Bell County, including one where an officer apparently fatally injured a wanted man in a shooting incident in Bell County. Claiborne, Tenn.

According to WRIL radio and the KSP, Timothy Houston, 35, of Harrogate, Tennessee, was killed in the first shooting at around 4:30 a.m. in the Stephen’s Branch area of ​​Middlesboro.

Houston was transported by Middlesboro EMS to ARH Hospital in Middlesboro, where he was pronounced deceased by Bell County Assistant Coroner Jason Steele, according to WRIL.

No details of the shooting have been released other than the fact that Houston was wanted in connection with the previous Tennessee incident.

The second case was reported to soldiers around 6:15 p.m. at a residence on Highway 221 in the community of Stoney Fork, Bell County.

KSP confirmed that individuals were involved in an altercation when a person was shot and taken to Pineville Hospital for treatment.
