MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Registration for the COVID-19 vaccine is now open for Vermonters 75 and older.

You can sign up for the vaccine at this link. Starting at noon on Monday, you can also call 855-722-7878 to make an appointment. In the future, the call center will be open Monday to Friday 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

When you make an appointment, you will be asked for your name, date of birth, a few medical questions such as if you have recently received another vaccine and your insurance information, although insurance is not required.

The first meetings will start this Wednesday.

A receptionist will check you in, someone will give you a photo, then you will have 15 minutes of observation, then you can leave. It’s important to show up for your appointment, because if you don’t, your dose may go bad.

An appointment to receive the second dose of the vaccine will be made after your first injection.
