Viral marketing can be huge for your business – if you really understand it. In this video you will learn key steps from Jonah Berger to make your content infectious.

Social currency is important when it comes to viral marketing. What does it mean? This means that you are doing something to make your customers feel special, and they share the story with others – and include your company in the story.

Another key to viral marketing is understanding triggers, which means associating your business with something that, when your customers see or experience, triggers a reflection on your business. This can be something as simple as a day of the week. Take Rebecca Black for example – her video for her song "Friday" has accomplished viral marketing because people are looking for it more often on Fridays than any other day of the week.

When you think of viral marketing for your business, you want to consider offering discounts and decide whether it is advantageous or not. Jonah Berger suggests using the $ 100 rule – under $ 100, and a 25% discount seems to be more than the same amount in dollars. Over $ 100, and the dollar amount seems to be a better deal, even if it's the same percentage.

Viral marketing does not have to be complicated, but it can have a big impact on your business if you do it right.

  5. I had a marketing class that required this book. Usually "required" books on the syllabus always make me cringe, and I always plan to sell them after the course, but after reading it, I absolutely fell in love with it! I won't sell it! I treasure it very much!!

  6. so basically you want me to manipulate people by showing them that my service is cheaper compared to something else? you want me to manipulate them by making discounts appear bigger than they are?
