League staff looked at performance metrics for the current 2021 season to rank players in positions where they are used the most. For the first time ever, fans, media and gamers will be invited to choose a range of players. All-Star nominees can be selected from seven specific positions: goalkeeper, right-back, center-back, left-back, defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder and forward / winger.
More than 400 players are on the ballot in 2021. In previous years, the media selected the top eight nominees from each club. Voting in 2021 gives voters more options to choose the best lineup.
