Wanted suspect identified in simple kidnapping incident in fourth district

The NOPD obtained an arrest warrant for Lynzell King (photo, black man, DDN: 01/23/1998) as part of an investigation into a simple kidnapping on October 8, 2021 in the 3100 block of rue Lamarque.

During the investigation, Fourth District NOPD detectives determined that King had arrived at the victim’s residence, at which point the victim opened the door. King then allegedly grabbed the victim in a physical altercation, took her out of her residence and forced her into a white crossover-style SUV while she was armed with a gun. The victim has not been seen or heard since that time. The victim is said to be with King and in danger.

King was last seen wearing a white hoodie, black pants and white shoes. He is approximately 5’10 “and weighs approximately 130 pounds.
