Google has been dragged on the coals this week for giving hundreds of app makers access to millions of inboxes owned by Gmail users.
The Wall Street Journal reported that users register "[traduction]
In response to the story, Google on Tuesday released a blog explaining how third-party developers must go through a system of price comparison.
Suzanne Frey, director of security, trust and privacy for Google Cloud, also said the 1.4 billion Gmail users held the keys to their own data and could control permissions .

In the same article, Frey was keen to point out that Google was not reading user emails.
Gma Automatically processes emails to filter out spam and phishing messages, which Frey claims "misconstrued that Google" reads "your emails."
"To be absolutely clear: no one at Google reads your Gmail." added, before immediately listing the times that Google allows itself to have a look at your inbox.
Frey said that he is limited to "very specific cases". This includes when users allow Google to access their messages and when the company needs to investigate a security issue, such as a bug or abuse.
She did not give more details than this, which means that it is not clear whether Google has the power to investigate Gmail problems without notifying a user. Business Insider contacted Google to comment.
Frey concluded: "The work of privacy and security is never done, and we are always looking for ways to better protect our users."
