In order to protect its users (and itself) from any other data breach, amidst the recent data Cambridge Analytica data leak and the application leak, Facebook introduced modifications to its APIs where some APIs were locked and restrictions added to others
The modification of the API included the locking of the Groups API for creating applications for groups. These applications had to go through a mandatory review process, applications lost access to lists of group members, as well as names and profile photos of people who posted there. And now, after locking, according to a report from TechCrunch these approved apps from groups reappear on Facebook. They are accessible to administrators through a new browser from the Facebook application, which allows the platform to control discoverability.
Facebook has confirmed this publication in a statement: "What you see today is related to the changes announced in April, which requires developers to follow an updated application review process so you can see what's going on." Use the Google Groups API. In this context, some developers who have followed the review process can now access the Groups API.
Famous tipster Matt Navarra also spotted the new Groups option. Until now, administrators had to find Group management tools outside of Facebook and then use their Facebook account connected to allow the application to access their group's data.

That is why, Facebook recently started testing the Subscription Groups that allow administrators to charge a monthly fee. With the right set of approved partners, the platform offers the group's administrators the capabilities typically available to major brands and businesses, who pay for enterprise tools to manage their online presence.
