HMD Global, the company behind the Nokia brand phones, plans to launch its Chinese X6 phone in other markets under the Nokia 6.1 Plus name.
The phone, which will run the Android One version of the operating system, will be launched on July 19 in Hong Kong, with other markets expected to follow soon after (via Phone Arena).
The high end Nokia 6.1 Plus has a 5.8-inch display with a small notch at the top of the display. In China, the device has a Snapdragon 636 processor accompanied by up to 6GB of RAM and 65GB of storage.
It will offer the stock version of Android, which means that it will be an ideal candidate for a quick update to the Android P operating system when this is going on. HMD has promised that all its new phones will get the update, with support staff suggesting that deployment begin next month.

Joining the Nokia 6.1 Plus will be the Nokia 5.1 Plus (Nokia X5 in China), according to reports Friday. The handset will be announced on July 11, according to reports (via GSM Arena).
