Land Rover Evoque New Generation Spied Climbing Curbs at the Ring

Although it's not a vehicle that the vast majority of owners would take on the track, Land Rover continues to abuse the next generation Range Rover Evoque around the Nurburgring. This spy video catches a test mule that straddles the curbs and creaks its tires at the Nordschleife

Unfortunately, Land Rover's Has not yet started the striptease of camouflage. Evoque new, so this video does not give a better overview of the design than in the previous clips. The general styling of the next generation model takes considerable clues from the larger Range Rover Velar. Both SUVs share similar front ends, especially the narrow grille that flows into the angular headlights. Larger grips in the corners separate the Evoque.

The updated Evoque bypbades the line between a refresh and a whole new generation. Under the revised design, the model will continue to run on a revised version of the existing platform that will include a wider track and a longer wheelbase. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder will still be available to power the stylish SUV. Later, a light-hybrid powertrain that will combine a 1.5-liter three-cylinder powertrain and an electric motor will also join the powertrain lineup, and there will also be a plug-in variant of this configuration

Inside, spy photos show an updated booth. The infotainment screen sits on the top of the center console. Further down, the HVAC control buttons have digital temperature displays. The dashboard remains largely the same, and the photos show that it keeps badog dials, which quickly fall in disfavor in high-end vehicles.

The new Evoque will arrive in 2019 as a model vehicle 2020 in the United States. European customers may get it a little sooner. After having chopped the three-door variant due to poor sales, do not expect this variant to come back for the last model. There is no word yet as to whether a new convertible could arrive during the next generation.
