Nokia 7 Plus Review: a practical choice

[ad_1]

Nokia's life is not over yet. It was only a year that the phones of this company interested buyers and revolve around companies such as HTC, Sony, OnePlus or Asus. HMD Global, a company based in Nokia, already has 5% of the market and is the sixth largest number of phones sold. In this review, I will share ideas on the mid-range Nokia 7 Plus model.

The Nokia models of last year, cheaper, have allowed the company to return to the smartphone market and try again to gain credibility. Of course, the upgrade to the Nokia 3310 also contributed to the resurrection of Nokia. We had the phones with the Android operating system quite late in the late summer, although they were delivered in February.

This year, the situation is much better and the handsets of Nokia phones have grown. Currently, you can choose from several models. At the same time, you have tried the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco models. More attractive not only the price, but also the appearance I was "7 Plus". Its price is 399 euros without reduction.

 Large, but comfortable

Nokia phones have always been durable, not an exception for the Nokia 7 Plus.Great, solid, quality badembled and strong. It is not too disturbing that it is a good amount of work, and Full Screen HD + 6 inches, which means that the size of the screen is an advantage when using less and less a computer, it is good that the phone is not thick enough for use it. Currently dominant glbades of glbades.

The aspect ratio is already 18: 9 (2160 x 1080) only in the socket or The Notch does not have an iPhone X copy. Okay, because for the moment many smart people just copy Apple and it's a little boring. Unless you find it important to have at least a similar iPhone X if you can not afford it. The Nokia 6 of last year was also very attractive, but disappointed by the processor Snapdragon 430. Just too slow, having more needs than calling the phone. The Nokia 7 Plus uses the Snapdragon 660, which has improved with the tasks that the Nokia 6. This model has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory with the ability to extend microSD cards up to 39 to 256 GB or allow the use of two SIM cards. The phone of this size with a capacity of 3800 mAh is pretty solid. It will take two days if you use moderation.

 Advantage – Android One

Another advantage is the direct version of Google's Android One, without unnecessary gadgets that you can find on the phones of Huawei or other manufacturers. This operating system is based on Google's main applications, such as Photos, Calendar and Google Play. This is a benefit not only because these programs are more appropriate, but also because they are constantly updated and linked to Google services.

High quality photos will be automatically synced to your Google Drive account indefinitely. Certainly, in order to save original size photos, you will have to pay or refuse the automatic synchronization. The benefits of Android One include upgrades. For two years, Nokia 7 Plus will get the latest version of Android and upgrade for three years.

 Solid Camera

Phones take more and more functions, and the camera is still one of the keys to help decide which model to choose. The Nokia 7 Plus has an aperture of 12 MP f / 1.75 and a dual camera of 13 MP f / 2.6 with ZEISS optics. The front camera is 16 MP with ZEISS optics. The result is very good, and compared to the Nokia 8 flagship of last year, it is still better and slightly different from the Nokia 8 Sirocco twice as expensive. The Nokia 7 Plus photo is a little too yellow compared to its competitors at a similar price. If the phone screen looks good enough, the picture on the computer screen is slightly different.

I compared comparable market prices to competitors – Samsung A6 + 2018 (12 MP and 5 MP main camera) and Asus Zenfone 5 (12 MP and 8 MP), which also had to be tested. The three smart people have two cameras. The Nokia 7 Plus is a second-hand camera for the 2x zoom, the wide angle of the Asus Zenfone 5 and the Samsung A6 + 2018 for the simple background effect. Theoretically, Nokia figures are the best. In practice, the color of the images in each phone is different, because of the resolution of the screens and the color reproduction. In the photo gallery, you decide which phone to make the photo more attractive.

You do not have to pay a lot of money to make your photo look good. The Nokia 7 Plus plays pretty well and can do the best at 4K 30 frames per second. The Samsung A6 + 2018 allows you to capture Full HD resolution only and can not match Nokia 7 Plus. If some manufacturers' flagship products offer the best resolution for continuous playback of just 5 minutes, then 7 Plus allows you to record up to 15 minutes. I have not tried for a long time. Yes, there is a Time-lapse mode, but the quality is worse. The only lack of 4K video is the stabilization of the image. For a stable picture, it is advisable to have a tripod. The uniqueness of the Nokia 7 Plus is the ability to simultaneously use both cameras, front and back, and stream them directly to your Facebook or Youtube accounts directly from the Camera. Good for those who like to do that. You will see the moments of the concert and share your emotions or comments at the same time.

It is also good that this Nokia model has three high quality pickups with a surround sound system, so it's not a shame to share the concert video. Of course, the photos and footage taken during the dark periods at such a price do not rejoice. The Pro Camera mode adjusts the white balance, focus, ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation for those who are learning and want to capture the perfect photo. Certainly, the Asus Zenfone 5 phone has larger ISO and shutter speeds, and also has several additional modes to experiment with.

 Summing up

Nokia came back and has something to offer. Cheaper midrange Nokia 7 Plus seems attractive and useful. I liked that the company still has not abandoned the standard headphone jack, and good headphones have been included in the set. However, there is now a fierce battle for the market and not just a smartphone for a similar price.
