However, by a consent judgment rendered on March 11, 2014 in the Shah Alam High Court, four parties agreed to move the temple and return the vacant site to the owner.
The four parties are the state government, One City, as well as Chellappa and Nagaraju, both of whom claim to be the temple's administrator, before Chellappa is finally declared a lawful administrator in a separate case.
As part of the consent judgment, One City agreed to donate RM 1.5 million for the construction of a new temple on one of two plots given by the company. After the temple had surrendered rights to one of the two parcels of land, One City granted him another compensation of one million RM.
However, a faction led by Nagaraju continued to insist that the temple remain at its current location.
Two days ago, a group entered the temple, causing violence in which several people were injured, the temple damaged and vehicles burned.
Last night, a demonstration to oppose relocation of the temple took an unruly turn when protesters burned a vehicle and attacked a firefighter. Some have also vandalized the developer's office nearby.
