The crossing of Trent Alexander-Arnold's ball is comparable to that of former Manchester United star David Beckham.

Danny Murphy, former midfielder and Liverpool midfielder, believes the young Anfield can only improve this season following an outstanding campaign last time.

And after scoring 12 goals in the 2018-2019 campaign, Alexander Arnold already has one in his name after providing a brilliant center to Divock Origi to find the net for Friday's 4-1 win over Norwich at Anfield.

And Murphy has accumulated praise on the back, saying talkSPORT he could be the most talented side backs to emerge in a generation.

"Trent is displaying a range of technical skills and passes unmatched for many years," said Murphy.

"Trent, for me, is as good a cross-country player as I've seen since David Beckham. His crossing is already as good as Beckham, definitely. His stagings and crossings are phenomenal.

"His technical skills, his passing skills are very unusual for a back, he is normally a midfielder who has this type of quality."

Alexander-Arnold will try to add to his aid during the meeting of Liverpool against Chelsea in the final of the European Super Cup Wednesday – a match for which Jurgen Klopp is clearly motivated.

Meanwhile, Ryan Kent expressed his frustration with Liverpool life by quoting the Bible in a new search during his treatment at Anfield.
