SUBANG JAYA: Fire and rescue personnel who were assaulted at Sri Maha Mariamman Devasthanam Temple of the USJ25 earlier in the day is in critical condition, said Minister of Housing and Local Government, Zuraida Kamaruddin.
Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, 24, was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Subang Jaya Medical Center (SJMC) this morning.
The minister said the firefighter was suffering from several broken ribs, as well as bruises on the chest and abdomen.
"Her broken ribs punctured her lung, which caused breathing difficulties," she told reporters at a press conference after her visit to the injured firefighter today. 39; hui.
He was asked about the mass attack directed against Muhammad Adib, a staff member of the Emergency Response System (EMRS) of the Subang Jaya Fire Station, who would suffer from injuries and internal fractures.
It is reported that the injured firefighter and other personnel arrived at the scene to extinguish a car burned by the rioters when it was dragged out of its EMRS van and assaulted by some of the 2,000 people gathered at the temple.
Selangor Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi will visit the injured firefighter at the hospital later in the day.
Meanwhile, the communication department of the Federal Department of Fire and Rescue announced that its staff, Muhammad Adib, had died.
"The news of the death of a member of the Fire and Rescue staff on social media is false.
"He is in a stable state and we are praying together for his recovery," he said in a publication on Twitter.
