Monday, November 26th on "The Voice" Kennedy Holmes took on "The greatest love of all" for the team Jennifer Hudson during the performance episode Top 11. Kennedy knew that it was risky to sing the iconic Whitney Houston struck, but it seemed to have paid off as coaches and the studio audience gave him an enthusiastic standing ovation. Since it was "Fan Night", America had to pick the song that each artist was playing, but will Kennedy get enough votes to be in the Top 10, as important as next week? Watch the live performance "The Voice" above and read the comments of the judges below.
As Kennedy was the last interpreter of the evening, criticism of the judges did not have much time. JHud could say a few words, "I'm so proud of you. You are beautiful. I know Mama Whitney is proud somewhere up there. You are a bright star in your own right and I love the way you control the scene. You vote for this girl. We will see your name illuminated by yourself. "
There are only two artists left in Jennifer: Kennedy and MaKenzie Thomas. Do you think any one or the other of them are likely to return home this week? Hurry up and make your predictions before Tuesday's results are broadcast on NBC.
Prior to this performance of "Greatest Love of All," Kennedy had sung "Turning Tables" during blind auditions, "Battlefield" during battles, "What About Us" at knockouts, "Halo" during Top 26 week and 'Wind Beneath My Wings' for the best 13 weeks.
In his blog "The Voice", our recapper Denton Davidson Here's what the show said: "I like this song choice for her because it's age appropriate and as predictable as" I'll always love you ", which we've heard enough about in the contests of singing. Jennifer gave Kennedy a Whitney class, teaching him arm movements and the iconic bow of the legend. I love the beginning of this performance, Kennedy slowly stroking each note. She's so imposing, how's this 13-year-old girl? She sounds good and has these gestures of arms! I like the DIVA that comes out of it! YES! Kennedy is back! The coaches are standing.
