This product was introduced for the first time in the world as a Symphonic Light loudspeaker as part of the Sony Life Space UX showcase at CES 2015. The finalized version was then released under the name Glass sound speaker in 2016, but Malaysian consumers have to wait two years, the product having been officially announced only by Sony Malaysia earlier today.

Previously, the only official way for customers in Malaysia to get this wireless hybrid speaker was to order in advance the OLED 4K A9F Master Series TVs, which already cost between RM 14,999 and RM 21,999.
As its name suggests, what you see here is essentially a combination of wireless Bluetooth speaker and a LED table light. Comes with an aluminum body next to the glass tube tweeter, a 50mm woofer and a translucent passive radiator, it is also clear that a considerable amount of time has been spent on product design.
In addition to the sleek physical design, Sony has also adapted the behavior of the LED light of the speaker to mimic a lantern or candle. Specifically, it projects a warm, soft light that, once extinguished, would fade to a slow, gentle rhythm.
Users can also pair two devices if they want to listen to them in stereo or dual mode. With a battery life of up to 4 hours in Bluetooth mode, the Sony Glass Sound speaker is sold at the price of RM 3199 and can be obtained from Sony Store Suria KLCC and The Curve stores, as well as from other authorized Sony retailers across the country.
