KUALA LUMPUR: Human Resources Minister Kulasegaran said proposals to resolve the conflict between Seafield and Sri Maha Mariamman were presented to Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on Tuesday (November 27th).

"(The Minister of Unity, P. Waytha Moorthy and I) informed him of what happened and the proposals we presented.

"No definitive conclusion has been formulated, but the Cabinet will be informed of the matter and the final conclusion will be made by the Cabinet.

"Obviously, I can just tell you that there is a lot of good and good news, which is submitted to Cabinet," he said, although he did not want to say more.

He reiterated that the "status quo" would remain and that the temple would not be forced to relocate, until a win-win solution was found.

He said this on the sidelines of the 25th meeting of Asean Labor Ministers at the Le Meridien Hotel on Wednesday (November 28th).

The temple was the scene of violence Monday, November 26. Several people were injured and many vehicles were burned.

Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, an emergency services staff member, was seriously injured by rioters who protested the temple's move to the USJ25.
