IPOH: The 25 deputies of Union Umno staged a strike after accusing Perak state assembly president Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham of being biased.

It all began when the Perak opposition leader, Datuk Saarani Ibrahim, "congratulated" Ngeh, the richest MP, at the end of his debate speech, and asked him if he could explain how he became so rich.

To that, Ngeh responded that his assets were due to profits from real estate gains.

Ngeh said that he had not had the opportunity to enrich the population of Perak in the last 10 years due to the power grab in 2009. "J & rsquo; Would have dedicated my life to serving the people of Perak and enriching them instead of enriching them in the last 10 years with the time spent on my own investments, "he said about the recovery of the state government by Barisan Nasional in 2009.

Ngeh tops the list of asset declarations of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission at RM82 million, followed by Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, who has accumulated assets worth RM 23 million .

Several MPs, including Saarani and former Mentri Besar Datuk Seri, stood up, while Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir stood up, calling the President biased.

Ngeh, who is also the MP for Beruas, said that he was only responding to a message from Saarani.

Dr. Zambry told Ngeh that he should sit with the deputies and make sure that someone else sits on the President's chair.

"As president, you have to present yourself as fair and unbiased," he added before coaching the Umno representatives in a walkout.

Later, Saarani said at a press conference that Ngeh's character had shown that it was not fair, since he had also answered questions during the debates .

"We are talking here," he replies (Ngeh), "he looks like he wants to be part of the debate, and finally he" tak tahan "(can not stay) and" lepas "(let go)," he added. .

Members of Parliament then returned to the room.
