NORTH PORT, FL, USA (AP): A Florida man made his first hang-glider ride suspended from a control bar and pilot's leg after the pilot forgot to tie him up.
Orlando Sentinel reports that Chris Gursky, a resident of North Port, published on his YouTube account on Monday a GoPro video of the crazy race in Switzerland.
The video shows that the problems started just after takeoff when Gursky realized he was not attached to the craft.
He ended up holding the control bar with his left hand and the pilot with his right hand for most of the flight for two minutes and 14 seconds. The pilot was holding Gursky's harness with his left and right hands.
The glider was sometimes hundreds of feet (meters) from the ground while it was heading from the top of a mountain. Gursky's fractured right wrist during landing. – AP
