Asus recently announced plans to launch the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 smartphone in Indonesia on December 11th. The phone is the successor of the popular Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Although the company has already confirmed that the phone will come with a 5,000 mAh battery, it will guarantee a long battery life for games, given that it is presented as a gaming smartphone. It should also take support Quick Charge 3.0 fast charge technology. In comparison, the battery capacity of Zenfone Max Pro M1 is the same.

Before revealing the battery capacity of the next phone, Asus had teased the smartphone's image with the following text: "The real pro is coming". The picture shows that the phone will have a small notch above the screen, which houses the camera sensor pointing to the front.

The image also showed that the phone would have a dual rear camera configuration, stacked vertically in the upper left corner, with an LED flash placed just below the camera sensors. One of the sensors will also support 3-axis EIS for a better experience, the company says.

According to reports, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro should feature a 6.26-inch Full HD + IPS display with a 19: 5 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the octa-core processor Snapdragon 660 from Qualcomm, a major upgrade from Snapdragon 636 on the Zenfone Max Pro M1.

The phone will contain 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. We also expect the Taiwan-based company to also launch a 6GB version of RAM. Rumors suggest that the phone would use the Android 9 Pie operating system, but some reports indicate that it could run Android 8.1 Oreo immediately and be upgraded to Android Pie.

Asus has scheduled a launch event in Indonesia on December 11 for the launch of the Zenfone Max Pro M2. So far, the company has not revealed anything related to the launch in India, which is surprising considering the fact that the Zenfone Max Pro M1 was launched for the first time in India and was very well received.
