Manchester City is on the alert after Real Madrid striker Isco "went on the market" before January's transfer slot.
The boss of the city, Pep Guardiola, has long admired the Spanish international and will follow with interest the latest developments.
Isco was ruled out of Real Madrid's games against Roma, marking another step in the deterioration of his relationship with new coach Santiago Solari.
The four-time winner of the Champions League did not start under Solari and Mundo Deportivo said he was considering his future after the last clash. One option could be a move in January.
According to the report, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Juventus are among the clubs to interest, but City retains the advantage because of Guardiola's long-term interest.
Guardiola is thought to consider Isco an ideal solution for his urban side, but he has never wanted to leave Madrid until now.
At the same time, City intends to "take action" in January to try to recruit promising young striker Adil Taoui of Toulouse, according to reported information.
Mercato Foot suggest that Blues' and Spurs plan to move the starlet.
