WeChat Pay Malaysia together with Petron Malaysia today jointly announced that WeChat Pay MY The ePortfolio can now be supported at Petron service stations. According to the two companies, they are the first in Malaysia to offer such electronic wallet payment options in the service station sector.

For starters, the WeChat Pay MY e-wallet can now be used at nearly 200 Petron service stations. Support will then gradually be extended to a larger number of Petron stations throughout Malaysia.
Integrated with the popular WeChat messaging application, Malaysia is the first country outside of China to receive support from WeChat Pay in local currency. The feature was officially launched with Malaysian users in June and has since been supported at various retail outlets, including KK Mart, Tealive, Starbucks and many others.
