Judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali then set 18 December to hear both requests.
On July 4, Najib was charged with three counts of breach of trust and one charge of abuse of power involving funds from SRC International, for a total amount of RMB 42 million.
Subsequently, on August 8, Najib was charged with three counts of money laundering involving the same funds.
