KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Tun, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, was unaware of the alleged marriage that allegedly involved Sultan Yang di-Pertuan Agong Muhammad V (peak) because there is no official confirmation of the case.
"I do not know, I have no official confirmation, so I can not say anything," said Dr. Mahathir at a press conference in Parliament on Thursday, November 29, on the occasion of the wedding.
It is speculated that the 49-year-old rule married former beauty queen Oksana Voevodina, 25, who was Miss Moscow in 2015.
The ceremony was held on November 22 in a concert hall in Barvikha, a suburb of Moscow, after the conversion of the Russian woman into Islam.
The news is prevalent on social media and in some British newspapers, but since Thursday, Nov. 29, Istana Negara has made no statements about it.
