The decline in the contribution of its publishing, distribution and advertising activities was further accentuated in the red of the third quarter at the end of September.
The newspaper publisher said Thursday it recorded a net loss of 33.9 million rupees, its fourth consecutive quarterly loss. Cumulative nine-month losses increased to 42.4 million RMB, the company said in a document filed with Bursa Malaysia.
Utusan was classified in Practice Category 17 on August 20 because of its financial difficulties. The company indicated that it was developing a regulation plan to address its PN17 status.
"On October 26, the company also submitted its first debt restructuring proposal to the Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee," he said.
