eSports Malaysia will hold a national league in 2019 as part of the SEA Games team selection

Many reactions flocked when the announcement that the eSport was one of the medal sports of the upcoming SEA Games 2019 made headlines. Most of them are quite positive, especially from enthusiasts and many have already begun to ask how could they be part of the national team. Well, here is a possible answer.

The Secretary General of eSports Malaysia (ESM), Rinie Ramli said in a report from The Star that ESM will hold a national league in 2019. This league will act during the selection process of the national team that will participate in SEA Games 2019.

In line with yesterday's announcement, six gold medals will be won through electronic sports at SEA Games 2019. These medals would also be divided between three platforms: a computer, consoles and mobile phones.

That being said, only Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, title of multiplayer online mobile fighting arena, has been confirmed for the event so far. More titles will be revealed in the coming months, according to Razer, official eSports partner of SEA Games 2019.
