SINGAPORE (ANN): A motorcyclist was seriously injured in the head and fell into a coma after a collision with a truck in Mandai on Sunday morning (7 April).
Police said they were alerted to the accident that occurred along Mandai Avenue towards Yishun Avenue 1 at 8:33 am.
An ambulance from the Singapore Civil Defense Forces took the 30-year-old motorcyclist to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
The man, a salesman, was identified as Tan Ming Jia by his sister, Tan Ming Li.
Ming Li, 27, who performs the administrative accounting work, said The time of the straits that his brother has serious head injuries and is in a coma.
On Monday afternoon, the doctors offered the family several treatment options for Ming Jia.
The family decided to wait and let the doctors do tests on Wednesday to determine if Ming Jia was a brain dead.
Ming Jia is married and has a five-year-old son. He is the only supplier of his family, a Chinese language evening every day. Shin Min Daily News reported Monday.
The wife and son of Ming Jia, who live in Malaysia, came to Singapore on Sunday night. His father arrived Monday morning.
The bronzes are Malaysian. Ming Li and his brother both work in Singapore. His brother went daily to Johor Baru, where he lives. They have another brother, a younger brother.
Ming Li said the family was hoping for a miracle and his older brother would be better.
Family members are looking for accident witnesses who can help them understand what happened on Sunday.
"We really hope that an eyewitness can tell us what happened," said Ming Li.
"Not only so that we know who is right or wrong, but so that I can also explain to my sister-in-law what happened to my brother."
She added that she was close enough to her big brother and that they had planned to visit their family in Malaysia next week.
