LOS ANGELES: Call her the mother of Lattes? HBO Game of thrones Season 8 of episode 4 included a scene in which a cup of takeaway coffee – resembling the ubiquitous Starbucks containers – was clearly visible on a table in front of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) just before 5:40 pm.
The cup out of time, which can be seen for about two seconds, was spotted by US The fans soon after the episode aired Sunday. Monday morning, it was the top 10 Twitter news stories. The Hashtag "Starkbucks" is also a trend on Twitter, a nod to the unexpected mix of House Stark and the Seattle-based coffee chain (though it's not clear if the mug actually comes from from Starbucks).
In an email to Variety, Hauke Richter, Artistic Director of Game of thrones seasons 4-8, said he had not yet seen the episode of Sunday night, but that it was not uncommon for such misplaced elements to be found by mistake in the final editing of the series and movies .
"Things can be forgotten on the set," Richter wrote. He said the coffee cup error was "so exaggerated in proportion [because] it did not happen with The Thrones so far. "Images of Game of thrones Season 4 showing Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) holding a cup of coffee became viral in 2014, but these came from a behind-the-scenes shoot and did not appear on the show itself.
In his eighth and last season, Game of thrones had more than its share of activity in social media, the video of each of the first four episodes to date having been leaked before the official release of HBO. On Sunday, scenes from episode 4, "The Last of the Starks," appeared online in 30-second videos on Twitter and YouTube, several hours before its premiere.

I thought it was a joke to revive this scene, but no, it's real. I took a picture too. It's 5:49 pm and it's an unmistakable cup of coffee. https://t.co/uc8I0zoXiL

Naturally, the last episode's cup of coffee has become an instant feed for jokes and memes, some wondering how many Starbucks outlets own in Westeros. – Variety / Reuters
