Former Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak claimed that the police were taking civil forfeiture route on his assets totaling 711 million RM, their restitution justifying it.

On June 27, the police detailed seized items, including RMR26.7 million in 26 currencies, 567 handbags, 423 watches, 234 sunglasses and more than 10,000 jewels.

Police estimated the value between RM 686.37 million and RM 1.1 billion.
